Worst experience ever

I was enthusiastic about joining a cooperative school. That is, until I found out that "Co-Op" actually means that the leaders don't have to do their jobs; nor do they ensure that staff does theirs. I was sorely dissappointed and at some points horrified at how this school is run. Complaints aren't addressed. There are no clear lines of communication. I never knew if I was to go to the Board members or administration for questions and complaints. I could not even get that issue cleared up. Nobody knows anything. The parents are made to feel like they owe the school something. That "something" being on top of tuition, volunteering in class, your school job, volunteering at the Spring Fair (which was horrific in and of itself), and fundraisers every month. When someone does want to go above and beyond their duties, there are plenty of busybodies butting their noses in and make things complicated. The lack of professionalism on the part of both the former president as well as the president-elect is quite distasteful, also.
